I purchased some mineral makeup by bareMinerals recently, and I am amazed how light the powder is on my face! I have a lot of scarring (superficial, not pitted ones) from my previous acne breakouts, so I caked on the products. I was so amazed that my face still felt like my face!

I love my mineral makeup!! I have Rosacea with enlarged pores. Bare Minerals covers up the redness and diminishes the size of my pores. Plus, no more breakouts! Love, love, love it!!!

Do you use their primer? I bought the bareMineral Get Started set and it comes with a primer. Since I have acne prone skin, I'm a little iffy about using the primer. I've used it a couple of times and it didn't irritate my skin.. but I don't know if I should use it...

I'm glad to hear that some people are ok with the mineral stuff. I, too, tried bareMinerals last year, and for me, it was a big thumbs down. The cornstarch did not help the breakouts, it didn't help my t-zone...and I can't get into the idea of layering powders over each other. The "concealer" was a big turnoff, I mean...it just caked up...but lightly dusting it did absolutely nothing. The only thing I will say I liked, the eyeshadows. But I have found the new Prescriptives mineral stuff better, a lot better, altho I only use the eyeshadow still LoL I bought (hastily), the Estee Lauder liquid mineral foundation, and it too looked too cakey on my face...the point was to buy a lighter foundation for the summer, and at first it felt ok...but after it dried, it did NOT look good!

I use sheer cover and I love it. It's so light on my skin but gives me great coverage. Looks very natural.

I'm using Lancome mineral makeup, and I love it! It's very light, natural-looking, and doesn't clog pores. It also has SPF 21, which is awesome. I just wish it was cheaper - I bought it for $46CDN, plus tax. But I definitely recommend it.

I use bareMinerals and I love it! I can not wear liquids or compressed products. I love the fact that I can customize the colors to match your skin (esp that I live in Canada, so sun glow in the summer and lighter in the winter).
I don't use any primers, as I found the ones I did have, and read up on the others, most have silicone. Which I break out from and my skin starts to look gray by the end of the day. |

I use Jane Iredale and Purminerals and love them both. You have to be careful not to put the powder on too thick though. Light is the best approach. I don't think I'll ever switch back to liquid makeup.

I love Laurier Mercier. The colour matches my skin tone the best. A little goes a long way as well. I have used it for a year, but I still have more than half in the container.

I'm so jealous of people who can wear mineral make-up. It does seem like a much more natural solution to foundation. Unfortunately, my acne scars are this dark brown colour that needs a red colour corrector to neutralize it (otherwise the marks look ashy with make-up) and the mineral powder doesn't do much for concealing my corrector.

I use Glominerals and I love it. I think it covers extremely well. I use the powder and it covers better than foundation. The only problem I have is that my skin gets oily and the oily goes through the make up so I think I need a primer or something.
