Instead of a serum, try a cream:

Beyond the Zone "Get n Creamed" (sold at Sally Beaty Supply only)
or a more expensive version is Tigi AfterParty.

I have also liked Biosilk (used on wet hair, and then on dry to smooth it.)

Fekkai Coiff Relaxing Balm is awesome too! The smell alone is to die for, and the results are great! If you have curly hair with frizz the Fredrik Fekkai Curl Cream is better.

Hands down, Aveda's Light Elements Smoothing Fluid. I put it on when my hair is damp then blow dry & flat iron...and I'll put on a bit more on the ends after I flat iron. It's light & a little goes a long way!
Pantene products build up & it's all wax...so I can't imagine it doing too much after a while.

CHI silk infusion works really well for me as well, just have to be careful how much you apply too much and my hair feels weighed down and greasy by the end of night. When I don't go overboard and pour the bottle on my head it is amazing stuff, nothing works better for me and I kinda like the smell.

I use Farouk Biosilk silk therapy...it always does a good job at taming frizziness and adding shine. Little goes along way!

I've also heard good things about applying jojoba oil/extra virgin olive oil!

The absolute best is Pureology color care serum. It's worth the price and you don't use alot, plus it smells great too!

Another one I have tried is Zero Frizz serum but I found it very sticky. I felt uncomfortable all day long but it looked shiny on the hair.

I am now having Marc Anthony Ultimate moisture replenishing finishing cream. It said it can transform day frizzy hair to glossy slk and protect color. It is not sticky but the hair doesn't look glossy.

What's the different between serum and a deep conditioning hair mask??
My hair is so frizzy that it's impossible to tame it.
Also has anyone tried John Frieda's Serum that all the magazines rave about??

Sometimes, when I am in a rush and don't have my hair products close by, I use my face cream or body lotion on my hair. Not too much for sure, in fact just the residue left after on my hands is good enough to tame the fly aways....Just had a Kerastase Treatment for my hair at the salon with my highlights. I haven't washed my hair yet, right now it looks shiny and soft, but I will tell better after I wash it my self first. I haven't tried any Kerastase products in the past...any one have some reviews on it. Its kinda pricey for hair products I think...

I have tried John Freida's serum in the past and it just weighed my hair down. I guess I couldn't firgure out the right amount of serum to use on my hair. My hair stylist recommended TIGI's After Party and I have used it a couple of times. It's works pretty well and it smells nice. The only thing that I don't like is that it tends to make my hair a little bit flat. I use After Party when I dry my hair straight.

As for when I let my hair air dry with waves, I am currently using Tresemme Flawless Curls mousse. I have tried to blow dry my hair with the mouse in and I just ended up with pouffy hair. I'll only use this stuff for air drying.
